How do you know she doesn't want to do what she's doing? I'm a musician and I would never want to sound like the musicians that have inspired me. Just because someone listens to Dylan or the Stones doesn't mean they have to play guitar and sing like them.
I'm pretty sure Ke$ha absolutely is doing the kind of shit she wants to do. If she didn't want to keep doing it she'd quit. Believe it or not, many pop artist "sell-outs" love what they do
-
@donedave You kind of make a good point you make about Ke$ha but then the RS interview proves that she's a corporate sellout. If she's keeping it real, why can't she lay this down on CD instead of an auto tuned-laden Tik Tok?
-
Now everyone can take back all their comments about her sounding like shit without auto-tune!
-
than u clearly dont know kesha. u can see through her personal and daily style she and her attitude that she is all about dance songs and she so good at it!! just cause its her fav album it doesnt mean shes not loyal to her wishes and goals in her career.

@Gralentard I'm right there with ya... I do have to say I'm impressed.
-
beautiful.

@theBadmusicpatrol sorry dude :o and oh I see, scientifically it's not 'hating' haha kidding xD anyways bye
-
@WindsorSpitfiresRock you might want to read what i said more carefully next time, obviously this isn't autotuned, and i never said it was. plus there is nothing wrong with stating my opinion of something, its not "hating" if im letting people know what I dont like about it. Some people just choose to get offended. And lastly I think this is a great cover she really can sing. and yes it seems that catchy electronic pop songs now are most popular therefore they will make one the most money
-
@theBadmusicpatrol umm this isn't autontuned.... and also if Kesha was to sing like this, she most likely won't make a buck... if she likes dance music, then so be it. If people like dance music, and wanna buy it, then so be it. I love it, and if you don't then don't hate and do something more productive :)
-
@WindsorSpitfiresRock yea i guess that really should have been a rhetorical question, money is the answer, people just aren't as driven to make music without the help of electronics and or auto-tune anymore its harder to sell.
I read Ke$ha's interview in Rolling Stone where she said the only record she listened to over & over was Dylan's Nashville Skyline & I thought "what the fuck is wrong w/ you, why do you make that ridiculously crappy dance music?!?" It's clear Ke$ha is NOT doing the kind of shit she wants to do, but doing something that sells. She needs to take the cash she's made & make a REAL record close to her heart. It may not sell, the critics may crap on it, but at least she'll be keeping it real!
