Not the greatest of writing, I was in a funk when I wrote this.

"Alright class, get started on the questions for chapter 3 and remember only groups of two." Selena's Chemistry teacher announced before sitting at her desk.
Selena sighed as she picked up her belongings and went to go sit in a desk beside Emily, "I don't want to do work." She wailed.
Emily kept a straight face as she stared at Selena, "Whoa, what's wrong with you?" Selena asked, laughing a bit.
"Don't play dumb with me, I saw you go into that closet with Nick." Emily threw out.
Selena's eyes immediately widened, "You saw that?"
She rolled her eyes, "It was kind of hard to miss."
"Oh" Selena simply said, biting down on her lip.
"So are you going to explain or what?" Emily pursed her lips waiting for a response.
"Alright," Selena said, giving in. "I think we might get back together." She lied.
"What?" Now Emily's eyes were the ones to widen, "When did that happen?"
"It's not official Em, so don't tell anyone. But I guess we're just picking up where we left off." Selena shrugged off like it was old news.
"So when will you guys make it official?" Emily continued to nag as the two girls opened their books and began writing down question number one.
Too many thoughts were going through Selena's head for her to even hear Emily's voice. How was she supposed to explain to Nick that she told her friend that they might be getting back together, he would take it the wrong way. Because if there was one thing Selena was certain about, it was that she did not want to get back together with Nick.

Nick felt a slight tug on the back of his shirt; he turned around to see Selena walking to the doors leading from the cafeteria to the hallways. He waited a few moments before slipping out of his groups' conversation and following after Selena.
He smiled as he saw Selena standing by one of the drinking fountains, "You know you can talk to me in public now. Everyone knows we're not fighting anymore."
"I think I did something wrong." Selena blurted out.
Nick's face immediately became serious, "What happened?"
"I kind of told Emily that we might be getting back together." She replied innocently, tugging on a strand of hair.
"Oh," was all Nick could manage to say.
"She saw us go into the hallway the other day and she got the wrong idea." She explained.
There was a sudden burst of joy that sprung through Nick's mind; the idea of them being a couple again excited him. He missed the time they spent together, for however long it actually was.
"Do you think she'll forget about it?" He offered.
"Maybe," she pulled harder on her piece of hair, "I'm not sure though."
"Well just give it time, it may die over. But till then we should probably stop sneaking around. It looks kind of weird, doesn't it?"
"Right," Selena agreed quickly.
There was a moment of silence before anyone spoke. Nick said his goodbyes and easily slipped out of the scene and headed outside, he needed a moment to clear his head from everything.

Selena lay in her bed and stared up at her ceiling. She thought about the time her and Nick had first gone to a party. The two of them just seemed to click with each other, falling in a perfect routine.
For a moment she allowed herself to think about what it would be like to be with Nick again, to really be with him; nothing standing in between them. But Nick had other things to worry about than a girl with too many emotions. He had real issues that needed to be taken care of.
Selena's thoughts were interrupted from a small rock hitting her window. Holding her breath, she climbed out of her bed and peaked through her blinds. Standing down below was Nick, motioning for her to come down.
A flashback filled her mind of the time Nick had came to ask if they could work out; even then she had rejected him.
Trying to be as quiet as possible, Selena opened her window and stuck one foot out. Carefully, she climbed down the big oak tree. Once she reached near the ground she swiftly jumped down, only to land in Nick's embrace; just like the last time.
"What are you doing here?" She screamed quietly as she took a step back.
"We're having some issues down at headquarters and I just wanted to make sure you're okay." He explained.
"What kind of problems?"
Nick's face turned apologetic, "I can't really say."
"Oh, I understand." Selena stared down at her feet
The two stayed quiet with nothing but the sounds of crickets to fill their ears, "Gosh I remember when we were last here." Nick said suddenly.
