I use to live in ALbemarle and we called it ABNORMAL.NC...applied for a job at that hotel...but moved and got the heck out of dodge

As an employee of this hotel, we spoke to the manager about this situation, and showed him this video. We have hired extra help for 3 days to get all showers in tip top shape due to this situation. We also wish you would have spoken to the manager about this situation before broadcasting it all over the internet. Please call the hotel directly and ask to speak to the General Manager He is willing to work with you right now to make up for this

@tommy198524 I've got a co-worker who stayed in this hotel whose room was clean, also. But, the 3 rooms I saw were all equally as dirty as what you saw in the video. I've stayed in far worse hotels, but have never seen a show/tub as dirty as this was--in any hotel. By the way, we enjoyed our time in Albemarle.

Yeah i live in albemarle nc and i stayed there once and it was clean well my room was clean i stayed on the first floor..
IHG doesn't have a "if anything is wrong, the stay is free". that would be Hampton Inn.

I stand corrected! Of course, that doesn't excuse the poor service and dirty room. I've found plenty of great HIE hotels since this stay, by the way. But, this hotel never responded to complaints either during the week I was there or since. I stay in hotels nearly every single week so see a lot of things, including bed bugs and re-used dirty sheets at a Hampton Inn (also in NC). But, management response makes all the difference and there was no response from this hotel.

After staying at the Ahoskie Inn, in Ahoskie, NC, I realized that the Holiday Inn Express in Albemarle really wasn't that bad. Once I cleaned the shower, the HIE was really pretty nice. The Ahoskie Inn, on the other hand, needs a bulldozer to start the disinfecting process. It was the rat poison and Roach Motels in the room that added such a nice touch,

I did speak with the front desk 3 times about the situation and even mentioned it while checking out. And, yes, I did ask to speak with the manager "before broadcasting it all over the internet" but there was absolutely no response from anyone about this during my stay. I even told the front desk on two occasions that they could see what I was talking about by checking out the You-tube video. But, for the sake of future guests, I am happy to hear that you are now correcting the situation.

By the way, the hotel elected not to honor their, 'if anything is wrong, the night is free' guarantee for this. The front desk told me they'd 'take care of that' on my next visit. Oh, well. I wasn't looking for a handout but thought the manager might at least offer something like an apology--or at least cover the cost of my cleaning supplies.
