The Moody Blues performing "One More Time to Live" at the Silver Legacy, Reno, NV, 3-8-08. I figured I'd better get one of John's songs recorded too...;)

The skip is due to pausing filming to change the zoom...and I feel I should mention that YouTube completely destroys the quality of my videos...:(

  • One of my very favoites from the greatest band ever. I have them 9 times and never seen them perform this live until last Thursday. It was fantastic.

  • I saw them play this song in 1972 with mike pinder- it was truly amazing.

this is a pale version compared to the mike pinder version of the moodies- a great song but needs a much stronger and on key veoice.

why thye waited so many years to start playing this song again I will never know- ray's voice would have helped immensely.

    still not bad.

  • sadly John is not a lead vocalist- he is so flat in this song I couldn't listen.

but it is a great song and when ray and mike and justin added their voices, it was really an amzing song with the thundering mellotron. here it is well not a very strong attempt. john just canjnot sing front..he is backup..but a great guy..I met him once in colorado.

  • A truly wonderful song ranks with "under my feet" from the 2present" album wish they would do that classic track live! John is just magic and so are the moodies!

    Thanks for posting this video.

    Bets wishes,

    moodies fan,

    Tony.

  • Are you kidding? The only thing they might lack is vocal skills. Their music adding to their songs in the background is some of the most beautiful in the world.

  • I got to tell you, I love the Moody Blues and have since the 60's but they really need to retire and let go. They shouldn't have anything to prove to anyone anymore.

They don't have voices anymore. They just need to retire and rock their grandchildren on their knees.

  • They may not be the greatist musicians on the planet, although Justin comes close. However, I believe their songwriting makes them the best rock band ever!

  • Great performance. Thanks for sharing!

  • June 8th 2008.

That is when I heard this song live. Amazing song! It's my 3rd favorite Moodies song to me. If only I could get this on to my iPod from a CD... <3

(Is it odd that my top 3 songs are John's songs? XD)

It's too bad we couldn't record. I wouldn've loved to watch these songs over and over again.. <3
