I agree with Cristalship88. Artists like JT, JC, Harry Chapin, and I'll add JD, actually knew how a guitar was supposed to be played, and how to write a good song! Not to say no artists know how to write good song now, but I guess they just don't write them like they used too.

Jim, James, and Harry are great but another that doesn't get credit as one of the best is Tom Waits. For a musical adventure check him out.

You're completely wrong, there are a lot of people in this generation that enjoy this music. You have to realize that back in the day, this type of music was more popular, but there were just as many people who liked awful music that was also popular back then.

There are also A LOT of great artists from this generation today, you just have to open your mind and find them. May be a little different, but it's relative to our times these days and rings of honesty, love, and humanity, like Croce.

Agreed I was est. in 1986 -- my dad brought me up well, and by that I mean showing me what true music was -- that was to create and listen to music from the heart. Croce and the gang are my mentors.

Honestly, I wasn't meant to live in my generation, so on that note we all have to learn to break 'generation' barriors... I'm sure you all could hang out and have a beer with me... a little Croce in everyone's life would probably solve some global issues :)
