Wonderful performance of a lovely dreamy composition. Bob haring, that highly skillful leader and arranger, did a brilliant job on the orchestration too.

It's wonderful to hear this orchestra play these forgotten melodies. I collect records from this era and enjoy these arrangements although with the limited fidelity of the old records. So often the percussion is supressed on the old 78s for technical reasons, but I can now hear the percussion with great fidelity as well as all the other instruments. Thank you for this beautiful video!

Beautifully presented. This is music I've loved since childhood. This rendition has
been added to my file of favorites. Thanks for the video.
Captivating! Brilliant job Marek! And how is Mrs Weber?! ! I don't recognize this name. Could it be the Huguette Waltz? I keep thinking Huguette waltz as I hear you play this. I was captivated by it when a teen when I found this 78. Frimls genius ! What a melody! Your violin weeps all over this most beautiful of all 20s waltzes, adding to its enchantment! Love it! thankyou for playing & posting this lovely thing. Are you sure your orchestra didnt play Berlins' Aldon Hotel in 1928?! ;)

@2reeler Exactly, it's the Waltz Huguette by Friml! Well, it would have been phantastic to experience the great 20's in the Weimar-era Berlin, also playing in the Hotel Adlon - but on the other side I'm very thankful not having to have made such unpleasant acquaintance with a certain Mr. Hilter & friends ;-) (look up at Monty Python Flying Circus...) such as poor Mr. Weber had to! Thanks for Your great comment, I'm so happy You feel the same as I did when playing! Best regards :-)

@Aaron1912 Hi Aaron, - I became aquainted with this true treasure by watching Your lovely upload played by the Piccadilly Revels Band. I probably would have never bought the band arrangement without...! Thanks! :-)
