I too had such an uprising of emotions from this book. I cried with you and laughed with you. We need that laughter to keep the tears from overwhelming our reality. The same passage that are referring to is the one that touched me the most. I found such wisdom and insight from this book. I hope my Lucy girl, will one day walk on two legs upon this world and I should be so lucky to know her as a human, with thumbs. We can learn a lot from our faithful companions.
