Sancerre Rouge. Yes indeed this is brillant. I tottaly agree. This is Pinot innermost, the tiny finesse and its different from the burgundy. You have to distinct flavour styles; Caramel or toffee and the burnt Prune which I prefer. The first one is the simple to be drinked cold like the Beaujolais. The Prune for keeps, but often only 2-5 years. You should go for the Lucien Chrochet down in Bue or Vacheron up in the old town. Bougeois also make a good red but i find him to commercial
Sancerre rules. The best!!!! No where i mean no where in the world you will find a Sauvignon Blanc like the Sancerre. The NZ sauvignons allways compare themselves with Sancerre. Now we'we made it this one is like the Sancerre..... but even the best NZ never even get next to the sancerre I never had one ;-)
