@HerbWalker I really assume they had a ball. Watching the photos ot seems El thrived with the girls. Who wouldn't? Yes, a (almost) non stop party with girls and everything would been a ball. Except some hangovers.

If you guys want to see more stuff about Germany & Elvis, GOOGLE this Unit Elvis & I were in : 1st Battalion 32 nd Armor Ray Barracks ,in Freidberg Germany. We were called "The BANDITS"...Theres alot out there to see. Our dinning facility was the SGT PRESLEY MESS HALL. It had some of the gresatest food ever. I lived off post in Bad Nauhiem Housing area, up the street from Elvis' house there. (1980-83)

@gangerollo ,I spoke in a email to his friend & manager Joe Espozito about that. He said Him & Elvis went to France and had a BALL. Joe says he couldnt BELIEVE it, that he was hanging around with ELVIS PRESLEY and the girls would FLOCK to them. He also said when they went to Hollywood and onto Vegas later ,and that it was a NON STOP Party!!! I only wish I could have lived that life LOL:)

Im from Memphis too, In 1968-69 we lived next door to the Circle "G" Ranch and would watch "E", Cilla & the BOYS ,ride horse out there in the field ,a lake out there and the big white Cross by his lake ...between his property and Manns Trailor park where I lived. Who would have thought 20 years later I'd be in his Army Unit in Friedberg???LOL Love Ya "E"!!!

@BarbInPortTownsend I went to Paris and saw the Lido Club - the Moulin Rouge is farther up in north Paris. Wanted to go in and ask if anyone was still working at the Lido that met Elvis but didn\t have time.
elvis was a real soldier. he was a real veteren. he served his country from1958-60. hecould have done special services but he sreved his time out there along with the other troops and earned the rank of sargent. cstanchik

You're right! The words commitment, fortitude, and courage come to mind. Elvis understood this sense of duty, but also understood that the possibility existed that the government was out to tame him, spurred on by the ignorance of uptight fathers concerned for their daughters.
