Meanwhile, Senators say Americans continue to feel the pain at the pump...and that pain is spreading beyond the cost of driving.American Airlines announced it plans to start charging passengers to check luggage - even a single bag. The airline, and others in the industry, say something has to be done to make up for the ever-rising cost of fuel. I don't see why people engage in arguments and even resort to name calling and what not in these forums. We are all in this together! The fact of the matter is that the price of oil was at around $24 on the eve on 9/11 and today is at $138 and God knows where it will stop climbing... we are all on the same boat and as long as we don't unite and make these people liable for what they are doing, we'll continue to get f*** in the a**... @todbronson I would argue that we need to lessen the restrictions on mining new sources, and allow other companies in. Think about it. Big corporation are in bed with big government. If they can limit their competition to 4 other companies, doesn't that benefit them? What's worse to compete with 4 companies or 30?

Let's just boycott one of these five gas companies and show them the power of the people in a free market. Obviously we can't boycott them all, but choosing one would send a message to them all. How bout "un-American" Conoco? Do not buy from Phillips 66, Conoco, and 76 stations. Please share.
