  • I love shamanism, it's practice and it's freedom of spirit, however, it is indeed a religion. She states that a "religion has a leader and rules." While this may be true in MOST religions it is NOT what determines what is or is not a religion. Shamans invoke, pray to and pay tribute to higher deities; this is a textbook definition of religious practice. Don't try to water the practice down in order not to scare certain people away. If they don't want to follow this path it's their choice.

  • Shamanism IS a religion. Your undergraduate students in Religion will tell you that. She's wrong.

  • I love it..... if one wants to know about his or her root..... study shamanism...............

there are many ways of practicing shamanism.... and shamanis evolves with time.... :-)

    it's a beautiful way...

  • Sitting at school boring mah ass of and watching this -.-

  • OH mah gawd... My auntie is in the practice of Shamanism. ;3

  • @luigee78 i dont see it seperate from religion, i was studying muslim holy book, ive read in it there are three world, upper(heaven), middle(iraf), and lower(hell), also i ve seen role of music in every religion, in churches, in sufi muslim dances, all religions and spirituality are same but only wise person discover the true meaning behind religion, religion is said in that manner that all people understand

  • @luigee78 Tom Brown Jr.!

  • Tom Brown Jr. explains Shamanism very simple and that we all have it ...its our birthright!

  • I'm sorry.... The journey is not an imaginative experience. These wellment people that teach the journey as an imaginative journey are teaching nothing more than meditation. They most likely have not taken a real journy. I dont say this to be competitive. There is a misconception prevailing. You will know it when you leave your body, it will nit be your imagination. Study astral projection methods with drumming. Once your out... Spirits ( archetypes ) will take over your training. Good luck

  • Our bodies are like thoughts in the mind but made of the world around us. As our thoughts are tied to the gel, your physical body is tied to reality.

A thought does not create a man, a man does not create a world, why should the world be turned by a thought? Space created the world, man created thought.

We are all lost save a home we make of ourselves, burrowing in time, in our minds, our orbit, and our home is a place we alone should understand but... as man ends a thought so his life ends.
