This a very interesting thing. Joey is a tremendous drummer, i like his style but whoever said(or wrote) Pete Sandoval is the talented, don't know shit. Pete Sandoval is a veteran in percussion way before Joey. the only difference is that Slipknot became popular (almost mainstream) with the Nu-Metal movement and Pete remained underground with Morbid and Terrorizer. Every old school metalhead knows that Pete made himself known way before Joey. I even bet Joey's influence in drums was Pete.
