Actually, in the japanese version, Meta Knight says something along the lines of "Dreamland, corrupted by darkness, shall now have a new ruler!"

Meta Knight was trying to stop Dedede because he knew that he was causing trouble in Dreamland.

But yes, he was taking it to the extremes. He's still badass though.

its really wierd the story between metaknight and kirby, i think that meta knight wants to defeat kirby on his own so he helps kirby defeat other enimes so he can have the honours but i dont know exactly lol

Meta Knight is kinda a villain...he is on the bad side...but sometimes he is on Kirby's side. he is Kirby's friend/enemy.
