haaa, love the garage attendants at 5.08.splendid.

130 Mph back then was very fast! even some cars today can't do that. It's sad they dont make em like this anymore. I bet if the company was arround today it would be the best
-
I cant believe the trunk is in the front! Whata waste of space
-
of course _I meant fwd with front engine.
-
But how well you think that would work with a rear engine?
-
So after that, Mercedes and Volvo became the safest cars. Seatbelt, crumple zone, Airbag, ABS, safety steering rod and so on. Most of them are patents of the Mercedes head engineer Béla Barényi.
-
would have been the perfect car with front wheel drive :)

cars have to be "destroyed" after a crash, thats how they absorb energy to safe passengers lifes. Compared to any modern car with 166hp 20mpg isn't good. You can buy a modern diesel Car with 200hp, 150 mph 30mpg. Americans always had convienient, huge cars with automatic (which wastes a lot of gasoline therefore it was never popular in Europe). But american cars never had been smart.
A miracle in engineering, so sad what happened to this car....

The big 3 fought for years about not adding seatbelts in their cars, while telling the public they were thinking of safety first, yeah right!
