GoW -CoO- GM / No Upgrades / No Magic / No Relics / No SubWeapons / No Damage / Blades of Chaos.

Boss - Persian King & Basilisk.
Part 1

NOTE1: I have never done a full PAIN+ (all the restrictions above) on this game. I remembered have done only some boss fights, so maybe some fights will be quite interesting.

NOTE2: This isn't a No Damage Run, it just happen on this part I didn't get hurt and I'm not interested in doing a No Hurt Run.
(UPDATE) Since, I managed to beat Persephone without taking damage, now this actually "is" a no damage run.

NOTE3: This part are actually 2 segments combined, since I had a very few time to play in the past weekend.

Well, hope u enjoy!

  • @TazOne1 >own music

I'll have to hear that later. Still need to reformat two computers. I have the disc for one, but the recovery of the other will need a day or so.

    >Deimos SF4 music

I'm unsure which one you used. Normally people just use Guile's Theme.

    >haters hating music

I remember polarized reactions to the Scat Man for the 999,999 hit combo video.

  • @TazOne1 >lock

The lock I'd made and demonstrated on Medusa (GoW1 PAIN+) was originally found in CoO, but my reservation with using it was the game crashes that tended to follow. I know for a fact it worked on the Gorgon Queens on the PSP, but I couldn't get it to work at all in the PS3 version for some reason.

    >Temple lessons

Parry stuns help a bit. NBR+ NUR+ forced me to basically bunny hop over their swipes.

  • @TazOne1 >No Hurt

Not my favorite condition. Shin likes it though.

    >familiar

Doesn't take long to get the idea down for handling most cases in this entry (lots of OH and air OS aside from the usual OS spam or heavy hit chip). I really wish they didn't block environmental hazards so much in handheld entries. Ways to speed fights along for clever antics are a favorite of mine.

  • @TazOne1 >calming

I forgot who mentioned that to me in that specific case. Some new runner I've not heard from in awhile.

    >like landing heavy hits on high HP types

Understandable. This was even more evident with Charon's handling I felt (s6 and t3).

  • @TazOne1 Basilisk was refreshing after doing so many runs where he was a no count only to feel like something 'new' to explore if only for a few moments until I came up with a solution to the issues (NGR+ had that pesky grab and NBR+ NUR+ just needed to limit the troublesome moves coming my way).

Charon was a highlight, but in a different way from the PAIN+. It wasn't just the balls, but his melee that was fucking me up (for a pretty long time too). Persephone S1 wasn't that bad.

  • @TazOne1 >Charon

So I saw. Sure is easy with Returns, eh? Almost boring (because one also does it in about every other sort of run). PAIN+ and NBR+ NUR+ forced a bit of change. The latter didn't allow the air block, but I was allowed to hop around (it tends to miss anyway).

    >if only

    It happens.

    >Deimos PM to Franchise

He should still be up. I do wonder if he is in a position to actually share it though.

    >evaluation

Usually just 'what I did' (sometimes praising handling/tactics).

  • @BigVEE (FOX NFL) Nooooo, I put my own...and I think u will enjoy them as they fit more than the (Deimos fight with SF4 music...the haters did hate it ahaha)

  • @BigVEE what lock are u talking about¿¿

(Morpheus Beast) I don't like either...but thanks to the temple of persephone, I understand how to deal them pretty easy.

  • @BigVEE (No damage) It wasn't my intention to go through the game without taking damage...I actually don't care...this part actually just was no damage...after part 3, I took it more seriously about the NHR/NDR (No Hurt/Damage Run). Also, I rarely play games "without saving too much", but I was a bit familiar with this game...not the PAIN...but at least having done 2 full NUR+'s.

  • @BigVEE (Boss) You can pretty much grab the enmies to calm the boss as you said (is what I did on my very first run through this game on PSP), but u can easely stop/prevent their attacks by any attack from u. So I just attack the boss and I didn't even think on care about the "backup"

(Cyclops) Well I actually enjoy using mostly s,t and dodging at close range, but I like to introduce spirit on cyclops, I always have :)
