I AM BACK! Not a great run, but this was the my first time playing Rock Band for a while...also the heating is broken in the room I was playing in, it was like 5 degrees centigrade! I was freezing! So apologies for the slightly under-par performance, but the cymbal usage is pretty accurate and that's all that matters, right?

This is a video of me playing expert drums with correct cymbal usage.

FAQs:
I use the Ion drum rocker with 3 cymbals. My hi-hat is a PCY-60, my crash and ride are both PCY-130's, I cannot recommend these cymbals enough, dropped notes are a thing of the past. The PCY-60 makes for a very reliable hi hat and the swinging PCY-130's feel so authentic and almost never drop notes/double hit, they are also very affordable (around the same price as the ion cymbals!). I don't know how I managed before, with the ion cymbals! My snare is a Roland PDX-8, also highly recommended, good rebound and a nice authentic feel!

I record my videos using an EasyCap capture card.

I play on the PS3. PSN: Ausnick2001, add me if you have DLC and want to rock out a bit!

Don't hesitate to send me any requests!

Also, for those we are asking, yes I do play real drums and have been for about 9 years now.

  • can i use my ion drum cymbal with a real cymbal stand??

  • @wardaddy99 Hmm, you could give it a go, but I dont think it would work. You could attach the end of the ion cymbal stand (where the cymbal would rest) to a real cymbal stand, that would work.

  • I got a request! Could you do A Day to Remember? and also any other Underoath songs you can find (: I didn't know that Desperate times, Desperate measures was on rock band!

  • @justjoshenaround I LOVE A Day To Remember. They are one of my favourite bands. Seem 'em live twice :D Only problem is, I think Homesick is their weakest album (from both a drummers and a listeners perspective) and both of the songs in RB are from that album. If we got ANYTHING from For Those Who Have Heart I would do it straight away, that has to be one of my favourite albums of all time. Unfortunately there are only 2 Underoath songs on Rock Band and I have done 'em both.

  • @ausnick2001 Is Desperate Times, Desperate Mesaures on the disk or the Rock Band store on xbl? I just went out and bought Rock Band 2 and Drums! So I'm super pumped to start playing!

  • @justjoshenaround Technically its not on any of those. It is part of the 20 free DLC you get with the game disc (along with 19 other brilliant songs).
