Tentipi presents - Saving a humpback whale from fisherman's nets.

A family group from the Great Whale Conservancy in a small boat in the Sea of Cortez rescues a young humpback whale from almost certain death after becoming trapped in fisherman's nets. This is remarkable footage indeed. Just watch what happens after the whale is cut free !!!

Whatever arguments might be presented that whaling is somehow no different to the eating of shoal fish or farmed meat, we might remember that these whales aren't quite as numerous as farmed animals, and a critical population density is needed for their survival. We have already decimated fish stocks close to the point of disappearance in many of the world's fishing grounds, and commercial interests seem insensitive to the disappearance of whale populations too.

Amazing - this should be a document used in placing protection to these beautiful mammals and to ignite a more stringent and penalizing approach to countries with lax regulations...
