I'm a republican - but this is outstanding. My friend interned under Bush 43 and received letters. Never did they reach the president. They basically had a letter already written they would send out as a phony response. The fact that he reads letters is very, very impressive. Not a lot I agree with him on, but this counts double.

The healthcare thing is so sad. Some people don't realize that that could be anyone of us. And national healthcare makes things cheaper anyway. Most people don't even need healthcare that much - diet, exercise, and just generally taking care of yourself should do most of the work.

It's amazing that reading ten letters isn't a standard for all presidents. Great job Mr. President!
