There are other renewable resources that Amerika could rely on for fuel sources technology does exist that will make energy independence possible the powers that be would love for us to think that oil and not say water or hydrogen or ethanol is the solution. Oil is where the money is and if these other technologies don't see the light of day (which they may not) and we do go into mass and global histeria (which we may) its not going to be because it was unavoidable

tell me what liquid fuel that is not crude oil can provide the one hundred forty two billion (billion with a B )gallons of gasoline we use annually it doesn't exist.i would you suggest you watch the video for starters and listen to the experts talk about the issue. and if your serious about understanding the subject of peak oil here's a couple of books to read #1=THE PARTYS OVER ,#2=EATING FOSSIL FUELS ,#3=A THOUSAND BARRELS A SECOND ,#4=THE OIL AGE IS OVER.

when people have nothing will they band together with people who look like them to take from people who don't?

I think this is likely. I live in LA CA a real multicultural place.

my Friend it is going to be a blood bath the vast majority of north Americans are totally unprepared to deal with the reality of the horror of what we will be forced to face in the future and of course race will be an issue just as it was in Nazi Germany.

i take you point whole heartedly,i'm approaching my 59th year,i was only made aware of peak oil a coupla months ago and i've invested what money i have into a canal narrow boat and hunting air rifle,i'm storing dried food etc.i posted your vid to a few folk right away.. p.s.i'm an intelligent white dude
