  • Why has questioncopyright left this asshole hardestpower10 aka limpestpenis0's comment on here?

  • Is your Mum as ugly and unfuckable as you are Nina/???

  • A 100.000$ for your mom? There are much cheeper moms in my neighbourhood

  • @Filorante: (contd.) I would think twice before making such condescending statements.

Anyway, no offence either to you, the author, or anyone else who might feel strongly about this. Enjoy the movie. It's rather fun to watch.

    Cheers.

  • descriptions of women in Hindu myth are very elaborate; kind of like the blazon of Metaphysical poetry). That aside:

"Hinduists should be thankful for somebody in the Western world is interested in making such a cartoon on the motive of such a naïve religion."

Hinduists isn't a real word, I'm sorry. Also please qualify 'naive'? You might want to check up on basic rules of syntax while you're at it too.

Not to make this entirely about you; SSTB purely as an adaptation is brilliant.

  • @Filorante:

I wasn't planning on commenting on this but what you just said merits some sort of acknowledgement.

I enjoyed watching Sita Sings the Blues although I wouldn't really credit it with being the most incisive criticism of Hindu mythology around. People like Saonli Mitra and Mahasweta Devi have weaved much more hard-hitting tales out of similar material. Some of Paley's observations were also kind of loose (like the one on the lotuses which was funny but not accurate. (contd.)

  • @princeraghav Wow I'm sure she didn't research the Ramayana AT ALL. She probably hasn't even read it. In fact, she most likely just sat down one evening and made up the story and it happened to be the exact same one as your precious fairytale. I'm sure that's what happened.

  • "Sita Sings the Blues" is wonderful. I am neither a Hinduist nor expect to be, but I see this film does a good service to Hinduism, because thanks to it many people who never had known about this religion before are now aware on it and will be able to inform more seriously. Hinduists should be thankful for somebody in the Western world is interested in making such a cartoon on the motive of such a naïve religion. And remember: don't go to the movies to learn, a film NEVER shows reality.

  • Hey Nina you are a loser - pls. accept your mistake and stop faking around about your artistic skill.

BTW: Why not make a flim on your mother - Ofcourse it wont hurt you as you might have seen her do much more nasty things in real life... anyway who cares but she can atleast be your secret place to vent out your artistic frustration

  • SMOKE SOME HASH AND SIT BACK AND ENJOY THIS ENTERTAINING CREATION.
