In this tutorial, we take the XACT wave bank, sound bank, and engine from the last tutorial and load it in a XNA project. Since we did a build with the tool itself, I show you how to load the built files in to the game and how to change the settings. We change the music levels by using the categories we created in the previous tutorial. Finally, I show you how to map the volume level to a static float variable so it can be changed anywhere. For this tutorial, I decided to map the volume changes to key presses (Up arrow and Down arrow). You can map these changes to a slider in your options menu if you wish.
