I show how to etch active areas, spin coat silicate dopants, diffuse source/drain, and test homemade nmos transistors and diodes.

  • Will you make a ring oscillator? :D

  • @AntiProtonBoy I plan on it, but I have to make devices with better threshold or bias each trasistor separately.

  • Clearly, your next build is going to have to be a cleanroom. :)

  • @dmlandrum Sadly it would be a dirtyroom shortly after I moved in.

  • Would the curve on the tracer stabilize faster if you would make your transistors smaller?

  • @jacgoudsmit Yes.

  • @kapaka12 Damn! I forgot to say "Don't warn me about chemicals" like in the first video.

  • Do you think you could build an amplifier circuit with your homemade transistors? It would be interesting to hear the sound characteristics of them.

  • Ohmic :)

  • Bad pun time!

    O! That's some DOPE stuff!

I guess you cleaned the drain, with drain cleaner!

    YEEEEAAH!

  • I wan to see your electronics lab

  • Really great work!

  • I wonder why your transistor is leaky / needs a negative gate voltage, is it because your wafer is contaminated with a thin layer of n-type silicon (due to an imperfect oxide layer when you started doping) or might it be the result of a photoelectric effect (your junction is of course rather large). Did you also test it in the dark?

  • Make tunnel diodes.

  • @fettfettmerafett Not very small without a resist process.

  • How small do you think you could make them?

  • Your the only reason that I still watch youtube.
