To me, this is the quintessential lapping day experience -- my car running well, chasing a car of comparable capability on a sunny summer afternoon at the track. Would have been nice to have my R-compounds on, but very fun nonetheless. It does not get much better than this for me at a lapping day.

This was probably either a BMW 1600 or 2002 (did not check it in the paddock), but in any event, body was definitely from that that era of vehicle (60s to 70s). BUT: No telling what is under the hood at this point.

  • Nice show, what FI setup are you running. I noticed the aftermarket dials next to the air vents on the dash.

  • Nice racetrack!!

  • @hipnaughtic This one definitely sounds supercharged. Although some focus's do whine a little. I have an '07 SE coupe that does. And i know its not supercharged and never has been lol. I bought it brand new. I really want an SVT now. I wish i had have bought one instead of the one I have now.

  • nice driving man.

i've got an 04 SVTf, such a fun car.

  • @hipnaughtic dude its not a civic si ill tell u that for sure. part of the problem is that ford didnt really address all of the issue with the car before it went on sale. so it has some problems that are found on all SVTFs like the common rpm drop or stalling.

  • @hipnaughtic i just bought a sonic blue 2002 with 30450 miles on the clock

  • wow that circuit looks fantastic.

  • ya they are very nice and fun to drive. good luck with the Cobra. They're hard to find

  • Actually I bought a 2002, it had really low mileage, 74000kms. I really like it. The 6-speed is tight but a little notchy, otherwise a great running car. I hope to start an SVT collection this coming summer by adding a Cobra!

  • it really depends how you take care of them. But if you get one try to find a clean 03-04
