This is so damn great it is almost unbelievable. I bought the album when it came out. Still love it! Great nuclear bomb of a video too! I feel grateful this happened on the planet at a time when I could witness it. Thank you!

I wish I was around when the album was released... I was being conceived when they did that April 1977 gig at the Townhall... I got the footage (of that concert!)

This is incendiary- It's so good-the first one in Australia that really started 'something' new - when this came out in Australia- it was mostly mid 70's pub rock- denim and satin flares and Americanised Country rock or ponderous jazz fusion bullshit- - AC DC were making some awesome music but the Saints took it that step ahead-went from really fast sped up rock n roll and morphed into Punk in Australia- this is the one lit the spark I reckon

hate to say it, but all too true.. Skyhooks were uniquely Australian but took a page from the British glam thing... The Saints were just The Saints... Brisbane guys that did their things with a measure of US/UK punk awareness, but with no intention of copying nor imitating.

what was it about '77? the foundation of all good punk n' roll seemed to by laid in that single year - all the punks seemed to just know it too ie. Wasps "can't wait for '78" - it's like they had that nasty smirk cuz they pulled off what the hippies never could!

Maybe im wrong .. but i see The Saints when they came out as something new.. a new thing- t....o me.. Lobby Lloyd and Rose Tattoo ... they were good- hard rock style- they were still part of that early 70's pub rock vein thing.. bumper to bumper beer barn music.. the Saints had a bit of a different attitude...and look .. and it just felt different.. like a new thing.. in the way that those other bands werent..
