We recorded this in the tiny studio at USM in Hattiesburg. It doesn't do the band justice, alas... It's a shame we didn't record them at a live event.

No, seriously, we played Kiss, Alice Cooper, Sweet, Zeppelin, Rush, The Who, etc. You know- training wheels. Shortly thereafter, the serious songwriting began, and Next Window was born.

How weirdly did you call yourselves Anvil? Are we talking speaking with a Rumanian accent when you did it, or saying it in high squeaky voices, or what?

Weirdly, we used to call ourselves "Anvil", but when we found an album of the other "Anvil" we changed it. It's fitting, since we left the heavy metal genre when we left high school.

We and Bonnington Truce and a few other folks comprised the Underground scene at the University of Southern Mississippi, Hattiesburg. Brian Huddell on guitar, Jimmy Burril on drums, Ronnie Schmidtling on bass.
