@cammybammy There is no trick here, what would be the point? Making the "open the car with tennisball videos" are retarded, this method is actually used by locksmiths.

@mepickulongtime I have an older minivan, so I just used what I had at hand--a Wonderbar and a large screwdriver to hold the door open, and a long stiff wire bent to fit through the door and toward the door lock, with a hook at the end to grab the lock. It took longer than a few minutes, but thankfully it worked. Now I've found my spare key, which I put back in my wallet for the next time I lock myself out.

@sloperdude You can get plastic wedge type deals from automotive stores, they are used for removing trimming etc.
