@neverfearchrisishere That was not the only reason we were there, first of all, or we'd already be in Iran now. There is a history of events you libtards always ignore and and you keep trotting out your one trick pony which asserts things that are flat out false.

If we HAD found significant evidence of an advanced nuke program, that would have ONLY STARTED a more serious search for those who supplied him the materials. This was the best outcome we could hope for.

We want to invade, but know we can't for doplomatic reasons.

So we create a justification.

@l337pwnage My point was, that they found no signs whatsoever of a nuclear development program. Which was the sole justification (before the war began) for the invasion.

The concern was based upon what was incredibly flawed intelligence (aka, aluminium pipes, the testamony of a taxi driver) which they knew at the time (and members of the administration have stated their concerns since).. It was the equivalent of taking your friends word on something he had heard down the pub.

@neverfearchrisishere Actually, the only WMD's that we really knew he had at one time were chemical. There was concern that Sadam was ATTEMPTING to get nukes and the push to invade was to make sure we invaded BEFORE HE HAD THEM. If we actually thought he had functional nukes, we probably would not have invaded due to the risk of him using them.

You need to read more than just democrat talking points.

George Bush repeatedly stated that in many MANY speeches that you can easily watch. It was only later that they tried to spin it to be 'regime change to help the Iraqi people'.

@neverfearchrisishere You need to stop reading left-wing blogs, lol. I never heard of nukes being found, certainly nothing in the conventional sense.

However, I think the entire middle east has reassessed their opinions about us, though. I think we crossed a line they thought we wouldn't and we aren't quite the paper tiger they thought we were.  Iran is gonna have to make some hard decisions about its future also.
