We took apart the old antweight as it was too slow, heavy and overall naf. After this, yesterday in fact, we built this new one. Hope you like it. P.S. sorry about the robot going off camera for so long, it is really difficult to control you know.

  • how much did all the parts cost?

  • @yc05cvm Hmm, quite a while since we build this. Well, you're looking at about 49p for a can of baked beans for the chassis :P, the servos are about 5 quid each (possibly cheaper) and the receiver was about 5 quid too. The batteries are 4 cells from a rechargeable 9V battery which can range from £4-10 depending on where you go and the quality of the battery. that's about it really cos the wheels and stuff were made from bits of polycarb we had lying around.

  • whats the name of the controller and reciever

  • @nooloo3000 It's a futaba sky sports 6 equivalent (can't remember the exact model number). And the receiver is just an unbranded one off ebay.

  • made out of halfe a dogfood can and a cd cut in two

    good aurmour choice

1 thing how heavy is it

  • @owain2222 Oh, it's way over the antweight limit unfortunately, can't remember exactly how much.

  • ow, yea... that is umm...FREAKING AWSOME!!!!!!

  • @liamglen1 14 but why should that matter?

  • @Bowsersshell i know but im just telling you tht loads of mpple get mistaken for a flywheel because tht is the part in a car! p.s how old are you?

  • @liamglen1 i have watched robot wars extensivly hypnodisc has a flywheel but some kids toys have flywheels and an antweight could easily have a flywheel

  • @Bowsersshell a flywheel is the thing in a car so it has to weigh about 30 kg! a blade and a flywheel are 2 totally different things ! a lot of pple get mistaken for a disc/blade for a flywheel ! if you watch robot wars you will see one of the only robots with a flywheel is matilda!

  • @liamglen1 i think a gear cutter or milling blade would make a decent flywheel sub but i've seen flywheels that weigh much less than 10kg look at hexbug nanos they operate with a flywheel and are only about 50g

  • @Bowsersshell the lightest flywheels you can get are about 10kg! do you mean a small blade! or a dremmil disc!

  • nice maybe you could add a weapon like a flipper and did you use a cd mfor the side panels and if you did what did you use to stick them together????
