My son Mathew comes with me on his first marlin fishing trip and catched himself a whopping 110kg Striped marlin on 24kg gear. Not bad for his first bill fish

Hey Joe and Matt, nice vid and excellent hook ups. How much line did you have spooled on the rig Matt was using as was taking a fair amount out at one stage? And is that a Penn International or Shimano Tiagra?

on those penn 50's we usually have about 950 meters of line

Hey nick. Its a Penn, and was spooled with approx' 950 metres of Moimi mono line. The fish pulled about 300 - 400 metres of line as it ran deep. Matt did a great job pumping it all back on. Matt also thanks you.
