From the Moody Blues album "Keys of the Kingdom" - Celtic Sonant by Ray Thomas
-------
Deep peace of the running wave to you
Deep peace of the flowing air to you
Deep peace of the quiet earth to you
Deep peace of the shining star to you
Deep peace of the son of peace to you

One man stood firm guarding cups overflowing
Brimful of memories and yesterday's dreams
He could never explain his own silent thunder
The ocean just blows rough at this time of year

And the wheel keeps on turning
The wheel keeps on turning
The wheel keeps on turning
Turning around

Words left unsaid may have special meanings
Dust hidden pages fill the books left unread
One bleak page left the poet crying
He failed to remember there's a price on his head

And the wheel keeps on turning
The wheel keeps on turning
The wheel keeps on turning
Turning around

Away we sail with all our flags flying
Too many changes can cause us delay
Each star in the sky is there for a reason
Making it so bright for this time of day

  • The BEST song on Keys of the Kingdom was Ray's Never Blame the rainbows for the rain...and they never once played it live..too bad...Justin co-wrote but I read that it was ray;s idea for the song..justin Helped with the chorus....Ray always seemed short changed in the Post Pinder years.....thye never let him sing any of His songs when they did a TV show...how many times can they play TRues Afternoon lol

  • A lovely song...pleasantly sits upon my heart and mind. Your visuals are a fitting tribute to Mr Thomas and the grand heart he must surely possess. Thank you geribarbara

  • @42BETWO I agree with you!

  • This song is a beautiful contemplative song about the awagawan (sp?) The wheel of 84. Birth and re-birth, karma and re-incarnation. Thanks, Ray
