no, all of the beam upgrades becomes one beam in its entirely, except for a few rockets, those need seperate ammo.

the gun isnt unlocked until you battle ghor and the grapple beam is unlocked at the end of the level

95% of wii games flat out suck, so when you get a decent one like this that has puzzles and blasting and is challenging, you have to appreciate it or you could buy an xbox360
