  • I dont see his back arching at all.. His core is tight and his form is perfect.. This is a very hard position to maintain with heavy weights..

  • isnt he working the posterior trap ??

  • @Teenssj2

He is working his posterior delts.

When you work traps it is a vertical movement...ex shrugs

  • I thought you extended your arms straight on the way up. I want to learn to do this properly, but everyone seems to do it differently

  • @xxRandomnameguyxx

When you bend your elbow you are able to contract your posterior delts better... however there are different ways/angles to work the muscle

  • @xxRandomnameguyxx

There are different ways to work your posterior delts.. Bending your elbows is just one way of doing it

  • @MuscleDogFitness

thanks for the info. greatly appreciated.

  • i think if you keep your elbows straight he is gonna be activating the post delts more efficiently, the way he is doing it he is activating the post delts as well but he is also using the mid trapz since it looks more like a row movement. also his back is a little arched this on the long run may cause lower back pain

  • @MuscleDogFitness Ohh yes ofcourse, I meant post. delt not trap, thx for correcting

  • You're right. I'm also a bit confused now...
