DVX 100b test footage/ film correction #2 / "ugly thumb"

dvx 100b test footage.

playing around with some different camera file settings as well as color correction. testing some ideas out. and experimenting with home made camera tricks???

after shooting a few projects straight forward, i felt it was time to get into the blood and guts of this camera.

pushing the camera a few different ways, going backwards to go forwards

other then color correction in final cut, and ive tried everything from no light to over exposed. to get the look im searching for right out of the camera. then to use plug in efx, im going to keep experimenting.

i also have an ugly thumb

Have you got one of those 35mm adapters on there? Like the Redrock m2 or something? Or is this all just the basic DVX with a bunch 'o color correction?

no 35mm adapter, no redrock,,,save your money, all looks can be made right in the dvx, im away this week, will send you instructs to get this look, no color correction or bullshot plugins, kick out the jams thanks for the feedback, the robot

You CAN get some GREAT looks out of this camera (I have the a model) but you can NOT immitate the look that you get from a 35mm adapter... I also have a redrock and you can't fake that. You can trick some DOF stuff but you can't get true looks with it (can't film wideangle shots while getting DOF).

But your stuff does look really good... especially your other test stuff! I'm interested in all the settings used.
