The conflict in the Sudanese province of Darfur has displaced more than two million people and cost nearly 400,000 lives. To raise awareness of this four-year conflict, actor, director and activist George Clooney traveled to Sudan and Chad with his father, journalist Nick Clooney.
Both Nick and George Clooney attended the "Rally to Stop Genocide" organized by the Save Darfur Coalition on Sunday, April 30 in Washington, D.C.

  • This is amazing that at this very moment, things like this are happening in the world. It shouldn't. Everyone on this planet deserves to have a chance to live their life the way they want to without fear of being shot or raped. I am very glad that George Clooney is spending his time and money trying to figure out a way to help these people out, and to bring awareness to issues like these. George, not only are you a great actor, writer and director, but you are also a great person.

  • You have done great thing for people who need love, George Clooney, you are blessed and given the equal love from me.

We wish these people will live in peace soon.

  • How crazy world, george clooney feed with star system the slavery of africans, by the material war, he feed the consumistic way of life, then he go down there and coward become the savior !!! How coward can be ! Animal, george clooney, soon when the africans wake up, you will taste their spears !

  • this guy just wants a bit of publicity there is much more countries that have people suffering even more than those in darfur and south sudan but he wouldnt care as america are allies with these countries

  • @MrNaryal That's such a hateful comment. Attitudes like this are why things like the above video happen in this world. I know at your core, you know it to be wrong. Whether it's love in the U.S., Africa, or the Middle East, it's still love, and it's making the world a better place.

  • the only problem would be if the east and the west decided the same thing that they want an independent country, damn this is good for the western countries now they can soon plot some bullshit and justify an invasion, we already know the majority of americans are idiots who would believe in whatever the president says to them. anyways its all about divide and conquer.

  • @Mujjahid786 because sudan is (or soon to be was) one of the biggest countries in africa, with hell a lot of resources, that could benefit the western capitalist.

  • I used to live in darfur. I know how they feel GOd is with us. HE will come soon and no more tears will fall from anyone face.

  • @fasfsdfasd he's doing something. What are you doing besides sitting on your computer hatin on people who are doing more for the world then you can do for yourself. Get up and do something. Then answer.
