The good thing about that way is that both programs work on many different video sites and SUPER is an awesome program by itself.
Also, both come only in free versions.

I'm using the DownloadHelper add on for firefox, which downloads yt vids directly inside the browser. Then I convert them using SUPER converter. =]

some people may not want to download free software like youtube downloader, so, you can also just go to a website like "keepvid" dot com and you just enter the URL of the youtube video you wish to copy. Once the video is on your desktop you make sure the file is named .flv for it to play.

If you're using Firefox, the best way -by far- is to simply install the "Fast Youtube Downloader" plugin.
When you have that installed,
there will show up downloadlinks under every youtube video stating:
"Download: FLV MP4 3GP (and HD if suported)"
Click the filetype you want, like FLV or HD, and you start downloading the file of your choice instantly.
