i noticed on mine some kernels get stuck to the bottom of the stirring rod and they screetch. now i have some white scratches on the base which means the teflon was scratched off. i wonder if i should continue to use it because it may be unhealthy now

@bradyischamp mine has never gouged the teflon coating. there are some scratches but not down to the bare metal. I would not care so much but my wife probably would.

We used to make Jiffy Pop on the electric stove. It was magical to watch the flat shiny pan expand to huge popcorn goodness!
