Holocaust movie ESTHER'S DIARY (2010) is a grim but inspirational story about two women, one Catholic and one Jewish, whose mothers were separated in Poland by the Nazis during World War II. The story finds people of two faiths still affected by the Holocaust, but coming back together thanks to a diary the Jewish mother kept of her experiences in the Nazi concentration camp.

ESTHER'S DIARY is based on real stories told to director MARIUSZ KOTOWSKI by his Polish Catholic grandparents, who were personally involved in hiding their Jewish neighbors from the Nazis during World War II. The story is a personable one filled with genuine, lovable personalities, but contrasted against a bitter narrative illustrated with genuine Holocaust footage.
