i can relate to this testimony, man all those years I was critical in my heart but never showed it to my family and friends. Im so happy for Charo! I recently really talked my struggles out with mom and dad and things have gotten a lot better because I was open!

That's true. I just think it's cool He did it that way in her case. I mean, He directed her steps so that she would be married to that particular man to whom He would give such a strong, convicting message. But yes, we praise the Potter, not the clay.

but also, God does not need men. Salvation is God's doing. regardless if she is married to Paul or not.

I especially agree with fruitofspirit- this will be a freedom and a liberation to many women (and men as well) in the same situation. Her bravery will not go unrewarded.

I'm into Washer's teachings-he mentioned his wife's article on, Becoming Ester. So I had to look her up. It must be 10 x harder for someone in her position to share this. God knows what He is doing. If she had married any other man or any other pastor, she might have never realized she wasn't saved. Her honesty will make many other families of clergy realize if they are just going through the motions & relieve the sense of shame satan uses to keep them from coming to truly know Christ.

yes for sure, we must examin ourselves often, even if we were in the faith at one point and right with God, dosen't mean that we won't fall, we should always examin ourselves asking God to reveal to us the areas in our lives where we have fallen or have sin, anything that comes between us and our Lord. Blessings to you.
