I know you are showing respect for the Eucharist by stating the tabernacle should never be photographed. That, however, is not exactly right. For example, the web site of St. Patrick's cathedral includes a picture of their tabernacle. The Christmas card sent out by Archbishop Dolan in 2009 shows both the tabernacle and the Blessed Sacrament exposed in a monstrance. We ask that the tabernacle not be just a "nice background," but respectful photos taken when not disruptive are not an issue.
