Thanks for the nice comments and I'm glad you're getting something out of these examples and ideas. I just want to speak out about how many bad comments and put downs I get. I'm not crying about it I'm just surprised that people look to hurt your feelings when all you're doing is trying to share a bit of information. Thank you for the positive reflection.

Even though I am not able to play this whole boogie like John does (jee i wonder why ;) ) It's still so freaking FUN to watch the guy playin' because he seem to enjoy this... and when you enjoy the thing you do, viewers enjoy what they see and basically it's like a carnival of enjoying...
good stuff

I've been looking for this sound for quite a while now. Thanks for taking the mystery out of it for me!!
My background - I started playing electric guitar again after focusing on bass for 35 years. You've made it a blast for me. I've never taken the time to learn scales and styles until I watched your videos. I have short stubby fingers and always thought I couldn't work an electric but your teaching videos have shown me that I can make some good sounds and have fun. My band mates are going to freak when I get the chance to play some electric in front of them. Thank you John!!!!

You did for yourself as much as I could do for anyone by buying that book. Thanks a million and keep the questions coming in. John

@johnhguitar Would you make ONE or TWO VDO to show how basic 12-bar blues gradually transform to a more
hit song like Malted Milk?
Cus I found that your explanation is v-good as you can show various related samples music right away.

When I'm teaching beginners about guitar styles I always refer to the founders: Chuck Berry, John Lee Hooker, Bo Diddley, BB King, etc. People who start with the roots always later on come with the goods!
