Think about it this way, If a woman got divorced from a man at old age or she just was not lucky to have a husband, do you think it is better to stay single or buy herself or be in a legal marriage contract under the husband who will take care of her? Islam says for us to follow the law of the land where you live. So if you want more than one wife, just make sure it is allowed by the law of the land. If not, THEN MOVE. This is what the Quran orders. Don't be a media Muslim who does not follow the law.
