Four Tet performs Angel Echoes and lets it melt into Love Cry live at the Treasure Island Music Festival near San Francisco, CA on October 16th, 2010. The video includes the ferris wheel and both a Green Man and DeadMau5 sighting.
He starts out with the scrambled Angel Echoes lullaby but slowly lets it melt into Love Cry. At 2:50 you can hear that spinny mechanical Aphex Twin sounding noise start to creep in. He lets it linger for a bit until dropping the beat at 3:54.
From there he teases us for a full 3 minutes with the Love Cry vocal over top of the spinny noise, lettting everyone beg for him to finally start it up for real at 7:12.
8:19 finds him slowling bringing in the bass until 9:08 when the vocal samples start crashing into each other for an intense etheral climax, only to let it drop off and have the bass take back over at 9:25.
Finally he starts dissasembling everything but right when we think he's done, he plays these two bass notes lower than expected at 11:50. My eyes went so wide when I heard that, it had me chasing it all the way to the end of the song.

The audience ain't even looking towards the stage. How exiting is it to watch a guy twisting knobs? I guess it sounds out of this world if you are stoned.. Viva escapism!

i was in the 2nd row and the green guy literally fell on me and kicked me in the head. so painful. but it was so worth it to see four tet.

Agreed you can see my hands in the grey in the very front i got everyone to start doing this. The fucking green guy started to piss me off.

how is it any more exciting watching a guy play a keyboard? or a violin? or a guitar? the controller still triggers samples based on his timing, so he is still directly playing and modifying the song. not to mention you actually dance to electronic music, the feeling of the music and the bass vibrating through you is more important than the direct visuals of the man behind it. drugs have nothing to do with it.
