Roo Gully is a wildlife sanctuary in the south west of Western Australia. It's run by this amazing woman called Carol Lander.

It's a long story but in short Roo Gully (as seen in the TV series Roo Gully Diaries on the ABC and Animal Planet) is being forced to sell its property by a previous partner who wants to realise his investment at the cost of the welfare of the animals and the remaining partner Carol Lander.

Carol is dedicated to the animals and is doing everything she can to raise the money to pay him out. But time has run out. She has until mid October otherwise the property goes to auction and will be sold from under her, and some of the animals she and her staff care for will have to be shot because they are unsuitable for release and being territorial see only Roo Gully as their home.

They need to raise a massive $240,000 to save the day.

  • Don't know how you can be so horrible and insensitive to such amazing wildlife. If you ever get sick or in trouble, then it doesn't matter as there are billions of humans around, and I'm sure you were cute when young, but nah.. don't worry about you now as some cannibals and possibly Lions or Crocodiles might find you tasty.

  • Unacceptable! This is the only home the kangaroos have!

  • This must not happen!

Roo Gully is deserving of immediate support to be sustained. The volunteers there, including & especially Carol, gave up their lives & financial legacy in order to assist & save Australian native wildlife. Dig deep, people. Let's pay for the land so it may remain a place of safety for injured wildlife, & research & education for the thousands of people worldwide who depend upon places like this!

  • Oh no too bad

  • that is just sad. they are such beautiful living things, how could any human being hurt them? shame on you!
