Forgot to mention - you can use recharge it without the car charger using a usb cable and I use my regular Duracell rechargeable battery charger that the kids also use to recharge their ipods - bought from walmart.
Thanks for the demo - perfect for someone interested in it. Just got one for xmas and tried it out on a 600 km round trip. The POI (points of interest) like hospital, restaurant, hotels etc are a huge benefit for travel, especially with the contact numbers. Maps were very up to date and accurate - even for the frozen northern rural area that we live in (Norther AB Canada) and well done 'stay left' on city fwy off/on ramps.
The mio is great the only problem I have with it is that whenever I am near my turn it shows me that im still about 140 feet off or so from my turn. It makes no sense to me.

i read somewhere that the new mio`s were not as bright as the older models, making them less readable in sunlight.
