George Li performed Saint Saens Concerto #2 with Simon Bolivar Youth Orchestra of Venezuela conducted by Sarah Ionnides at the José Félix Ribas Concert Hall in Caracas, Venezuela on 5/30.

George's performance was a great success. His performance echoes the inner feeling of his audience and touched their soul. Therefore he received long period of stormy standing ovation as you can see in the video.

George and the Li family would like to thank the People of Venezuela. They are most warm hearted and greatest people! They have the greatest musical education system in the world! They have greatly inspired George to perform his best level all time at his Caracas solo recital and concerto concert.

George and the Li family would also like thank all of our YouTube friends! Before, during and after George's concerts, we've received hundreds of warm messages that either wish or congratulate his success for his first international performances in Caracas, Venezuela.

George's successful performance in Caracas is largely attributed to the great inspiration from all our YouTube friends. We don't know how to thank you enough for your great support for George's piano/music learning and growth. But all we can do at this point is to say Thank You! Thank You!! And Thank You!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I was amazed at how he could handle the change from Bumble Bee to Chopin in the blink of an eye. The whole auditorium went into a trance after all the clamour and was totally captivated by the nocturne. Geroge is a very powerful musician to effect the change of mood.just like that.

  • The Bumblebee is a thriller, but this performance of the C-sharp minor Nocturne places George in the company of the greatest artists...the subtle nuances, the other-worldly quality when the reprise begins at 5:06...where, in someone so young, does that depth of feeling come from? It isn't something that can be taught. I believe George was born to play the piano. How wonderful to have these remarkable performances shared with all of us!
