Britains Real Monarch 1

Britain's Real Monarch is an historical documentary presented by Tony Robinson first shown on Channel 4 on 3 January 2004. It has also been broadcast in UK, America and Australia. This documentary argued that all British monarchs since Henry VII of England did not have a valid claim to the English throne.

The researchers on the Richard III find now have the male DNA of the Plantagenet dynasty (donated by the Beaufort family, who are the last remaining direct male descendants of John of Gaunt). This is currently being used to double check the authenticity of Richard III's skeleton. However, it could also be used to check the DNA of the remains of Edward IV, whose body lies undisturbed in St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle. If analysed, this would prove if Edward IV was of royal blood or not.
