Solo dive on the drop, Pacific Reef, Biscayne National Park. At the end of the video I took a shot at a hogfish, but missed. I finished the job after the film stopped rolling. :-)
Yes. I had to stop filming to reload my speargun. I ended up following the hog around a coral head and spearing it. I shot a couple other hogs on some of the shallow reefs nearby. I think I also speared a triggerfish...
hey man how ya doin? i dive around this area every weekend....not to sure where excactly "the drop" is? ive heard of it being just the drop off where the shelf is..? if its not a secret spot would you mind telling me where its at and how deep? thanks m8
I don't have the gps coordinates unfortunately, but I tied off the the mouring bouy due east of the Pacific reef light which is about 7 miles off the southern end of Elliot and Adam Keys. Depth at the bouy is about 40 feet, and quickly slopes down to about 85 ft. where it levels off . Its a great dive, check it out.
did you end up shooting that hog?? shoot anything besides the hog?
