  • no wonder cathy is so antisocial, her father makes her feel as though she's not enough and so she feels that see not enough for other people which makes her so secluded and shy! poor cathy, i like her and her sweetness.

  • Montgomery Cliff was the original heartthrob. And awfully suave in this piece. I know he's a cad but he sure knows how to make someone feel special.

  • Hard to make Olivia 'plain' looking. She is still fresh and pretty in this piece. Her old man is so preoccupied with his late wife's beauty. I never saw a man so preoccupied. I don't like it but must tell myself this is a movie from a novel and novels have to be interesting and different even if we don't like the characters. It's the disturbing plot.

  • Funniest line in the whole movie and funniest line Olivia De Havilland ever said at 1:47 to 1:54...the Aunt says "do you suppose the reverend's watching over me tonight"? and Catherine replies "That depends on where he is Aunt" LOL --like maybe he's in hell lol

  • @TZEITEL10 It was originally a 19th century piano piece and chanson or French song by either Franz Liszt or Frederic Chopin. It was a well known song that has been made into various different versions over the years of the past 80 years as well.

  • @splndrndgrs Do you mean the(French) song Morris sings to Catherine?its called Plaisir d'amour. You can find here on YT,there are lots of versions of it.Joan Baez sang it and made it popular in the 60s.

  • @9876543217303 Bette had a fling with Anatole Litvak, husband of Miriam Hopkins.

  • We are more open here in Europe around sexuality and sexual identity, why should people have to hide away and live a lie.like they did in the previous century,Homosexuality was illegal here until the mid 60s,men were committed to Psychiatric Hospitals and given Aversion Therapy and so now men and women want to celebrate their empowerment. Why do you suppose there is a Gay Pride Movement?

  • The only one who has a problem with it is you,he was the not the only one and there are others around today. Some of our best known actors/actresses are gay/lesbians/bisexual as are a good many of my freinds and colleagues. We have primetime tv presenters who are openly gay,its not a problem -they are accepted for who they are and their work.

And you need to sort the Taurettes out.

  • @TZEITEL10 Can you get the fuck over yourself? I did not make a comment asking someone to tell me what Montgomery Clift's sexuality was. The only thing you fucking people can say over and over again is, "Monty was gay," "Actually he was gay," bla bla FUCKIN bla, and MOST of the time nobody even fuckin asked about it!!! He was a man, an actor, and there are many things about him to talk about. SHUT THE FLYING FUCK up with the GODDAMMN comments about him being fucking gay!!!!

  • @blackhorse099 In reality,Monty was gay.He once claimed the only woman who turned him on was Liz Taylor.

  • @blackhorse099 Sign of high blood pressure.
