I watched One From the Heart last night and this song really jumped out. I'll confess I didn't care for this movie much. I don't think the two lead characters showed much if any romantic longing. That emotional void is what the song filled. Tom Waits is amazing that he could limn the heart's longing better in a couple of minutes better than a $25 million movie in 90 minutes.
