@matt0044 Graphics are not everything. Minecraft has showed us that. Also with the remakes i think nothing beats Heartgold and Soulsilver by any means. I dont like that you can have a Pokemon behind you but it does not turn me off the game. 16 Gyms are amazing and battling Red is the the coolest thing i've ever done in a game.

@MrSiesses On the contrary, I thought that that the graphics were very clear and lively. If you ask me, the games for the GBC didn't have graphics that strike me as "cool" as least at the time. Sure, I can understand if you didn't like how the day/night system wasn't included but there was probably no room so they compromised.
And just because a set of games in a series didn't sell AS much, doesn't mean that it sucked for everyone. I'd say it was good enough to keep Pokemon alive to this day.

@matt0044 I just mean in plain features. When those games came out i got sad of all the things they did remove. There is a reason those games sold less then their GAME BOY COLOR counterparts. I dont say they are bad, i just think they suck when compared to the rest in the series.

@MrSiesses To some, yes. To everyone else, no. Just because you never found the Hoenn games appealing doesn't mean everyone agrees with you. I actually got into Pokemon via Gen 3 and I have fond memories of it even now.
Besides, who says you have to buy the remakes?
